They gave it to me strait,
Tried to, at least.
He found the bump on my skin.
What is it?
They don't know.
Where were you?
Elevator ride up one floor.
To the x-ray room I go.
Take off my clothes,
Get on the table,
It hurts, it hurts.
Where were you?
X-ray machine does it's job.
Takes the pictures,
They come out clear.
Nice older nurse,
Helps me down from the table.
Where were you?
Fully clothed now,
Down 6 floors.
The blood lab.
A laugh escapes me,
But a sob jokes it back.
Where were you?
Shortest wait yet;
Five minutes and I'm in.
The nurse looks like my grandma,
The one that leads me down the hall,
To a cold plastic chair.
Where were you?
She talks while she wipes my arm,
Prepares me for what's going to happen,
Talks me down.
Calls someone in,
To hold my hand.
Where the hell were you?
Bloods drawn,
Down two more floors and out the door.
A phone call in tears,
To my mother,
To tell her what the doctor said.
Where were you?
I don't know...
NOTE: I wrote this a few days ago, when I went to the doctors....It was really scary, and this is how I felt, so....yeah...
