He sits in a chair
While I’m on the floor
In front of the tiny TV.
Behind my eyes
Our fingers enlace
A flutter in my
Brown puppy eyes
As I beg for his
Heart.
The sun turns to me
And I am content
To bask
Until I close my eyes
And forever ends
In three generations
And silky white
Hair.
