Before the storm hits,
everything sits
in a placid and tranquil way.
It's cool and collected
before the affected
cannot be kept at bay.
Though when lightening strikes,
your heart rate spikes,
frightened of the shock of electricity.
It'll sting and burn.
Oh, when will you learn?
It's high; the level of toxicity.
It's work not yet done,
It's really having fun.
But there's nowhere to run and to hide.
I said I'd protect you
from the mighty sweep through.
But the real reason being I lied.
Welcome to high school.
