Karma

I had always thought that life treated everyone else well;

That pain had been created for me only.

When the agony of my existence had almost driven me insane,

I decided to kill myself quickly.

I would not give it the pleasure of killing me slowly.

But a light appeared, driving the darkness from my mind.

Calmly, you guided me from chaos.

And I lived.

I am living.

I will continue living.

Because you showed me that even the most broken among us

Can mean something.

You say I’ve always been such a good friend to you.

And you ask what you did to deserve it.

Let’s just call it Karma.
