My world was once beautiful

full of hope and joy

I had family for comfort to help me face the world

and friends to stand by my side

My life was wonderful I felt I could do anything

Then my world began to darken

as sorrow and fear invaded my joy

My family could no longer comfort me I had to live a lie

and my friends began to turn away

My life was starting to crumble and my confidence began to fade

Then my world was torn apart

and I only knew rage and despair

My family would not accept that I was not the girl they thought I was

and suddenly I found myself alone

My life had gone up in flames and all that remained were the ashes

Now my world must be revived

with courage my hope will be rekindled

My family will be shown who I truly am

and new friendships will be forged

My life will start anew and like a phoenix I will be reborn from the ashes
