Until Death

To feel a perfect curvature
is to feed an imperfect goal
gently excite a nerve ending
recites an overture of fire in coal

struggle in a throw of life
to easily feel its source
until meaning loses holiness
and piety lacks a course

sigh quickly before the chance returns
to seed the explanation
from between another style of legs
along with some fashionable expectation

Then laugh to mean that nothing
is not quite so disguised
as a noble intention breathes
and then it slowly dies

she covers it with cloth
lays pennies on your eyes
sets your soul against the window
as the rain against it cries
