What do you see?

Through those eyes of yours?

I sometimes wonder…

Whether you can truly see me.

Do you see the pain that crawls under my skin?

Because I can feel it all.

Can you see the people who constantly talk at me simultaneously?

Because I hear them all.

Can you see the shadows following me?

Because I sense their eyes.

Can you see my mind?

Because I think it is falling apart.

Can you see my heart?

Because it is shattered like glass.

Do you see me?

Because it sure doesn’t truly feel like it does…

Do you want to know what I see?

I see a world of possibilities,

And impossible walls to climb.

I see pain in its truest form,

And the good that can come of it.

I see my past,

And wonder what future it one day may bring.

I see sadness,

And the joy that one day may come.

I see the hope,

So fragile and on the edge of the table of life.

I see you,

And everything you feel,

And know this,

I can see it all through your eyes,

In your soul,

And I know what has happened,

And it will never change my mind.

I see not with my eyes…

No your eyes plays tricks on you,

Only lets you see the outer layer.

You must see with your other eyes,

Ones no matter who you are,

What has happened to you,

Or what is to come,

You will always have.

Your mind’s eyes,

They let you see a world of your own,

And now you give it a try.

Close your eyes,

Listen to the sounds of life,

Feel the energy around you,

Breathe in the air and all the smells by you,

And take a taste of the future,

And tell me now,

What do you see?

Do you see the Past? Present? Future?

Do you see Happiness? Sadness? Madness?

Do you see Nothing? Something? Everything?

Whatever you see,

It is different for me,

Different for everybody else.

We see the world our mind’s create,

It is whether we get passed the vague,

And finally reach the darkest depths of the Unknown.
