About TWC

The Writing Circle is a group of writers wishing to challenge themselves through a series of periodic writing competitions.

In these poetry competitions, a poetry form or subject is selected, and the writers are given a few weeks to respond to the challenge. Then, the public is asked to vote for their favorite poem – a departure in voting from our usual style.

I created this group in the hopes that it would inspire my fellow writers and I to continue and improve our writing.

And if anyone is interested in joining us, please send an email to

Put “A fresh pen” as the subject. Please join and swell our ranks!
