A Recipe for Roque

Serves: 18-20 people

Bake in:
-one deep, 13x9 inch casserole dish.
-OR two bunt cake pans
-OR four 8x8 inch pans

Ingredients

2 Cups Butter
3 Tbs Steel Dust
3 Cups Kindness
2 Cups Nuts
2 2/3 Cups Imagination
1 Cup Icing Sugar
1 Cup Powdered Moth Wings
Crystal Fermenting Jar
2 1/4 Cups Artistic Appreciation
5 Cups Self-Respect
1 Ball Pein Hammer
1 Anvil
Milk
Marshmallows
Dash of Cream
Chocolate to Taste
Mint Leaves

Directions

Combine butter and steel dust so that the dust is evenly spread throughout mixture, than wisk in kindess (Be sure that the kindess has reached room temperature. If left chilled the mixture will become clumpy, and when used for the rest of the recipe, create something that doesn't sit quite well in ones stomach.) until it softens and creams. Set aside.

Prepare the nuts and imagination by chopping finely, than sift together with icing sugar and powdered moth wings. (Make sure the moth wings are powdered extremely fine, for if they are not, the essence of their unique ability to camouflage will be lost altogether.) Once sifted together, put into a crystal fermenting jar and leave in the freezer until ready to serve. (This will keep it fresh.)

Go back again to your original mixture; by now the mixture should have firmed slightly. You can tell it is done by the glossy sheen the kindess will have taken: if this has not happened, place in oven at an extremely low temperature. (Watch very closely, for it should only take maybe half a minute.) Using a wooden spacula, scrape all but one cup of the mixture into the baking pans. Set baking pans aside for later steps.

With the remaining mixture, stir in artistic appreciation and self-respect. (Stir them both in slowly but constantly. A break in artistic appreciation causes the end product to be less fluffy, and therefore decreases the value of the product; on the same note, a break in the self-respect will cause - depending on length of break, and the number of times the breaks may happen - varying degrees of bitterness.) Julienne the ball pein hammer and dice the anvil, and add both to the new mixture. Mix lightly.

The new mixture should be very fluid, though if it is too thick it may be thinned out with a few drops of milk (For a chemical explination of why you need so little milk... The reaction of regular cows milk with artistic appreciation causes the molecular bonds of the artistic appreciation to weaken, and therefore become more like a liquid. If you tend to be heavy handed, goats milk doesn't react quite the same as cows milk, and while it will still cause the same effect, more of it can be used.), and can now be poured on top of the original mixture in the baking pans. Excess of the mixture - if any - should be poured into muffin pans to be baked alongside the final product. Push full marshmallows into the mixture, so that they are evenly spaced and just covered.

Bake at precisely 573.15 kelvin (Please refer to your temperature conversions.) for approximately 42 minutes and 31 seconds, or until the self-respect appears golden and marshmallows start to melt and ooze out of the artistic appreciation.

Just before serving, take the powder out of the freezer and dust all sides of the loaf liberally. If prefered, mix with (a dash of) cream and chocolate (to taste) to make an icing.

With any excess powder: Make sure the imagination is still fresh (It should glisten like silver when constrasted against the powdered moth wings.), and add three heaping tablespoons into a cup of steamed milk. Add crushed mint leaves for a crisper taste.

Special Serving Insructions for Roque:

Once made, put all ingredients into a blender with caffinated liquids to thin. Blend into a frothy mixture and set on ice to keep cold. Than, drill a hole into Roque's skull, and using a funnel pour half an ounce of liquid straight into the brain once every two hours to stimulate artistic activity, while syphoning off the incomprehensible mesh through the nose. A half cup must be poured in just before and just after a planned sleeping sessions of six or more hours.

Continue this treatment for two weeks, or until the mixture is completely gone. Wait a week, then repeat.
