Chapter 1

“Jillian, wake up,” her mother yelled, “you’re going to be late for work.”

“Ok, ok,” she yelled, “I’m up, I’m up, geez.”

Jillian was an average freshman in college, to be more specific she was as average as average got to be. She is getting her doctorate in advertising and Marketing. She does pretty well in class, and on the side she works at a pizzeria; right in town. It just so happens that she is smack dab in the middle of hot guy heaven; the only problem is that they’re all gay, extremely gay; they’re as gay as gay gets.

But no thanks to her overactive imagination, she zones out in the middle of class, and in the middle of work.

Jillian had a habit of being late to work, it wasn’t fair, she shouldn’t have to be up so early on a Saturday morning, even thought it was only 10 am. In fact she was late so often, her boss started marking her hours to start at 11 am, instead of 10; he just hadn’t told her that, it might make her even later. Jillian pulled on her freshly wrinkled work clothes, searched for her socks, and ran down the stairs. She looked in the mirror by the door, the dark red shirt, made her hair seem a lighter red then what it actually was. If it wasn’t bad enough that she was short her hair had to look washed out too. “Geez,” she sputtered to her self, grabbed, a piece of toast off the table. She slipped on her shoes and was gone, she walked down the street, toast in hand. The pizzeria was only a 5 minute walk from her house, so there was no need to run, she might actually be on time today; and she still had time for toast.

She walked in the front door of the pizzeria, “I’m here,” she shouted. There wasn’t anyone in to eat so early in the morning, people usually didn’t start showing up to eat till around 12.

“You’re almost on time today,” the boss said, “what a surprise.”

“Well you know me,” she said.
“Yeah, yeah,” he said, “get that hair up and get to work, before I change my mind.”

“Ok, Mr. Boss man,” she said, “but you might try to lighten up, it’s gonna be a beautiful day.”

“We’ll see about that,” he said.

She walked behind the counter, grabbed the hat that she usually wore. She would wind her mid-length long curly red hair and shoved it up into the hat. “There,” she said, “its up.”
“Why do you go through all the trouble of shoving your hair into a hat, when you know that, someone is gonna take it off your head eventually?” he asked.

“Because some one told me once I look cute with my hair shoved up into a hat,” she said.
“You have a comment for everything don’t you?” he said.

“I sure do,” she said.

“Ok answer this one,” he said, “if you’re so cute, why you don’t ever go out on dates?”

“ha-ha,” she laughed, “that’s an easy one, I’m hoping that one of those extremely hot gay guys that work here, will turn strait and take me away.”
“Ha-ha,” he couldn’t help laughing, “I’ve never know someone as delusional as you. Get real Jillian, there is no way that’s going to happen.”

“A girl can fantasize can’t she?” she said, “now where are the orders that need to be made?”

“Here they are,” he handed the orders to her, “the only reason I haven’t fired you is because your funny, and you know how to make a pizza. If it weren’t for those two qualities, I would have fired your ass two years ago.”
“Thanks, Mr. Boss man,” she said, “I’ll get right on these.”

Jillian didn’t find it hard to get into her work, there were 5 pizzas’ that needed to be made; she needed to concentrate. There was no time for daydreaming; if one of the guys were to come in she would loose all concentration.

An hour and a half passed by, and she heard the front door ding, which meant that the day was about to get a little more interesting. She finished topping the pizza’s and started putting them in the oven. “Phew,” she heard a voice say, “is it just me, or is it hot in here?”

“It’s just me,” she said, “I mean you.”

“Jill, Jill, Jill,” he said, “You look really cute today.”

“Mark, you say that every day,” she said, “come up with some new lines will you.”

He backed her into the counter, where she was making the pizza, “if I wasn’t gay, I would take you back into the freezer, and make tender sweet love to you; but since I’m not I’ll just do this,” he kissed the nape of her neck and put his hand up her shirt and squeezed her nipple. “Ahh,” she moaned, and then he let her go and walked away.

“Jillian,” Mark said, “hey you ok, you zoned out there for a minute.”

“Yeah,” she took a deep breath, “I’ll be fine, just peachy.” She held her hand to her head, she was blushing, she couldn’t believe she zoned out like that again.

“Jillian,” the boss yelled, “got those orders done yet?”

“Just finished putting em in the oven,” she said back.

“Good,” he said, “they’ll be here to eat em soon.”

“Kk, Mr. Boss man,” she said.

“I have some more orders for you,” he said, “I need 3 fries, 2 slices of mushroom pizza, and a Calzone.”
“Gotcha,” she said as she repeated it back to him, with out writing it down.

“That’s another reason why you still work here,” he said, “your impeccable memory capability.”

“hey boss man,” Mark said out of nowhere, “you know, we’ve been busier lately, maybe you should hire some one that can help her with the orders.”

“I don’t need any help,” she said, “I can do it my self.” She turned around and went to the fryer and put 3 batches of fries in, it took her 45 seconds to get the calzone ready and put into the open and the 2 slices of pizza, thrown together and put in the oven as well. She set both of the timers, and she started grading more cheese, so that she would have fresh cheese for the next order. When the first timer went off, she took the slices of pizza out of the oven, and put em on the pizza plate, took the fries out of the fryer and dumped em in the drainer, and put them in the order baskets; then pulls the calzone out of the oven. They all went out together on to the done order counter, she rang the bell, “order up,” she said.

Mark and the boss just stood there and looked at her, “what?” she said, “you act like you’ve never seen me put up an order before.”

“Right,” the boss said, “sorry Mark, but it doesn’t look like she needs any help.”

“Well you certainly got that right,” Mark said, “Sorry Jill, didn’t think that you were so ok back he by your self.”

“You don’t have to worry so much about me back here,” she said, “if there was someone back here I would get distracted, and you know how my overactive imagination gets. Anyway, you both need to get back out there, I am sure that there will be someone who needs servicing soon.”

“Too true,” the boss said, “but if you need help, don’t hesitate to say so.”

“I won’t,” she said, “now get going, before we get any unhappy customers.”

She watched as they walked away, to go back out to the café part of the pizzeria she really didn’t mind being by her self, it allowed her to day dream about, all the gay men in her life. It was just 6 more reasons why she would forever remain single. That is until she found the perfect, non-gay male, that could take her to the brink of ecstasy.
