Through the window you can see everything that is going on
Locked up in a safe place, somewhere nothing can hurt you
Never being able to experience the real tragedies that we call life
You hold an advantage over the rest of us
You don't know how lucky you truly are
You see the world for what its worth
You see its flaws and holes
You know what it is capable of
You're smarter than that, and know better then to get fooled
You gained knowledge and experience by watching as it goes round
But what was the point?
Never being faced with a situation where you would need the experience
Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of gaining it in the first place?
You live your life, far off in a sheltered place not knowing pain or love
What will happen the day the world ends?
What will you do?
Will you sit back and watch, as the blue sky you've come to love turns orange?
Will you sit there and stare as the oceans and seas turn red with pointless bloodshed?
Will you watch in amazement as bombs begin to fall all around the world?
What will you do, when the day comes that everything you thought you hated comes to an end?
You learn to love even the things you hate
You never really know what you had until it's gone
And trust me, there will come a day that it will all be gone
How will you handle things then?
Not everything can be perfect like you
You can't keep living in a "perfect world"
Keep telling yourself that you won't care, that you wont miss any of it
Doesn't matter how much you say it, doesn't make it true
Living a lie accomplishes nothing
When the day comes I hope you see how terrible a sheltered life can be
I hope you are well prepared to deal with the consequences
The losses and hate that will follow
I hope you know what you're getting yourself into
