Jacob spoke slowly, his speech slightly slurred.

“Dude, I can drive this car by standing on top of it. Watch me.”

Jacob stood on top of the car’s hood and spread his arms out as if he were surfing; he had a very serious expression on his face. His friend stood by watching with bored, glazed eyes.

Jacob stayed on the hood for five more seconds before falling sideways with a small ‘oof’. He was sprawled out on the grass, moaning quietly.

“Did it work?”

His friend looked at the car intently, studying its position in relation to everything else.

“Nah, man. Let me try.”
