An empty canvas~

What sits across from me,

is an empty canvas.

It's empty of the beauty

of a drawing or painting,

but it does not complain

it only waits

for something to be painted or drawn.

I bet it hopes

that it will be beautiful.

That whatever it is

painting or drawing,

it will be so wonderful

that people will stop

and so "how lovely!"

But, unfortunately,

not all things are beautiful.

Some things,

are wretched and horrid.

And we are not always so lucky

in what we get.

But who's to say

that that particular thing,

is what is horrid?

Who is to say,

it's not that or this.

Anything can be horrid,

and anything can be beautiful.

It is not up to them to decide,

nor is it up to me

or you

or an empty canvas.

We just have to go with what we think

is beautiful.

So, empty canvas,

what beauty should we paint today?

A/N: Unless of course what you think is beautiful is something morally or disgustingly wrong. Then there's something wrong with you. .

Cheers~
