Remember the Sanguine Days?

~xXx~

One.
I remember our sanguine days under the bluest skies and
all the sunsets and the night spent watching the moon and the comets that occasionally flew by up there in the dark.
I remember the resplendent shooting stars that I used to wish upon and hope that you and I would be we forever.

Two.
Naïve, I never knew how you expurgated everything you said, but looking back I realize that you always intimated this would happen.
You never said forever, I was just a fool.

Three.
My illusion of you broke the day you screamed at me for nothing,
Grabbed my arm so hard it bruised and threw me into the closest wall so hard that everything went black and then waking up to you kneeling besides me, crying as you asked ‘are you alright?’ and desperately apologizing.
I was consternated, horrified and not a little scared, but you made me believe that it would never happen again.

Four.
Your promises of ‘never again’ lasted for 17 days.
My face was bruised, my body aching and my soul broken into a million pieces when I managed to escape from you.
Finally.

Five.
Once I was safe and away from you and found time to think my heart fell into a state of narcolepsy.
I became insensate and disconnected, distancing myself from everything until there was nothing more to push away.

Six.
All my wishes on shooting stars and my dreams and my hopes became forgotten in time and the only thing I wanted was death.

Seven.
Do you remember the sanguine days before you turned into a monster and I a mindless marionette?
I miss them.

Authors Note: Purely fiction, and one of my personal favorites of my work.
This spurred from me wanting to use lots of pretty words in one text, so basically it's written around some of my favorite words.
