Summary: A silly, short little interaction between a couple, purely sentimental and cutesy. Inspired by the Beatles’ song ‘Michelle’.

Isaiah walked through the door of his apartment and into the living room, singing softly.

“I love you, I love you, I love you. That’s all I want to say…”

“Well, I had no idea.”

Isaiah grinned as her heard his girlfriend’s voice in the kitchen. He meandered in there and found her on the computer, most likely finishing a chapter of her book. He smiled warmly at her, despite his next words.

“Ah, it’s just a song, it doesn’t mean anything.”

“Oh, so you hate me then.”

Isaiah grinned even more at the casual way she said this and said his next words with a tone equally as deadpan.

“Yes, that’s exactly what I’m trying to say.”

“Asshole.”

Isaiah put on a tiny pout and went over to kiss her cheek.

“Oh, Michelle, don’t be so put out. I want you; I think you know that by now.” He kissed her temple and pointed to the computer screen. “By the way, you misspelled that word.”

“Go make dinner.” Michelle batted him away with a smile and a mock glare. She turned to the computer and muttered darkly. “Criticizing my writing…”

Isaiah grinned widely back at her and went to get out the pasta ingredients.

“Michelle, ma belle…”
