There is one thing in life that is as pleasing as getting high. At least, this is true for me. My greatest hobby is watching people. I study the human condition. I have concluded that you cannot disagree with. You might try but then you’ll see the truth in it. I have discovered two facts about people that I feel I have to share or else I would be selfish. If you do not care for my thoughts on humans, then disregard me and move on with your life.

My first observation after spending years studying people, is that a person can be smart but people are stupid. When a single individual is out on his/her own most often they use logic and reasoning and take their time with tasks and problem solving. However, when these similar people get together, that when the real fucking problems start. When a group of people gets together, they form one mass of stupid animals.

I guess you can take my analogy with a big grain of salt and do with it what you will, but it is the truth. People are stupid. For an example, after 9/11, anything could be said and it wouldn’t matter unless it was agreed upon by a lot of people. When more and more people say the same thing repeatedly and en masse, bad things happen. That is how the Iraqi war started. I have nothing against the people who are war hungry in this country; I have a lot against their stupidity as a whole. Because the people who are war hungry are the people who are not going off to die.

“It’s great to die for your country.” I doubt many of the soldiers over in Iraq and Afghanistan. It’s a stupid saying because the stupidity lies in the hypocrisy of the argument. Bill O’Rilley continues to support the war agenda because his ass is not over there watching friends die in front of his eyes and fearing that any moment that they might get killed. I cannot say much on the subject because I am not, have not, and will never be a soldier. Am I afraid to die? Not really. I refuse to die for a massive stupidity that is not worth dying for. Do you know what that stupidity is? The thought is the subconscious need that people should kill other people to save the lives of people. That seems a little strange to me. A little strange, and rather stupid.

I do realize I have been rather repetitious and redundant about the word “stupid”. I will apologize for the lack of a better term, but not for the purpose. Nevertheless, I still find people extraordinarily fascinating. The second discovery that I have discovered in my lifetime of observing the human animal is that the priorities of a person is never the same of another person.
I was standing on the upper level of the great hall at college and I was simply watching the people milling around on the ground level. I was observing a conversation of two girls who looked as if they had a strong intellect and a solid head on their shoulders. However, what they were talking about, with the utmost intensity and seriousness, I found to be utterly stupid (there is that word again). That is when I reached a stunning realization, the whole major point behind this rambling documentation, what someone thinks as important will never be as important to another person.

I simply thought, after I heard this conversation: “What they think is important is completely stupid. But…I guess what I think is important is completely brainless to them.”

You see, that is where the differences between people really catch my eye. I think that a logical approach to life and a comprehensive thought process are two important things that life should be lived with. However, some people think faith in a higher power and the afterlife is the way to go. That’s when I start to have problems. I cannot, for the life of me, understand why someone would give up his or her LOGIC for belief in something you cannot see, nor comprehend. I’ll get into that later.

Understand that my ideas are my own and your ideas are your own. I don’t care what you may think in terms of the group mentality and the intelligence level that goes along with it, nor what you deem to be important in life, because I think herds of people are stupid and nothing you think that is important will be as important to me. It’s just the beautiful difference that people have. The one thing we can agree on is that things, of a physical or a nonphysical nature, are important in varying degrees. You are more than able to voice your own opinions, it just does not mean that I will read or fully listen to them. The same goes for my beliefs and your attention to the detail I provide. I always say that if you are not interested, turn away and move on with your life. Never think for an instant that I am holding your eyes and ears prisoner to cram what I believe into your skull.

Bottom line of this rant is that a person is smart, and usually I like individual people. It’s people that I can’t stand. In addition, when you boil it down to one person, we will still have disagreements, because nothing of two people will be exactly alike in priorities and beliefs, and that’s a good thing. That is it. Until next time.
