Writers' Block

My mind is a complete blank right now

But I have to write someway, somehow

Staring at the wall with a pen in my hand

Hoping to write something that people will understand

There's a piece of paper on my desk with nothing on it

I'm still waiting for the light bulb in my head to get lit

For hours I wait for inspiration to find its way

Until then, in my chair I will have to stay

For hours I try to think of the words to write

I don't even realize the morning had to turn to night

Now it seems I have no words left in my head

Everything I want to say has already been said

Frustration has left my mind unable to think

The disappointment I feel just pushed me to the brink

I have to stop now that my confidence is low

If I can't write today, I will write tomorrow
