Honor Killing

She’s already suffering from the pain,

But you made her suffer once again.

She was raped and left to suffer,

Fighting to prove that she was tougher.

It wasn’t God that killed this girl,

It was family ‘protecting’ her from this world.

Because of you, your loved one died,

And you called it a suicide.

They said she’d squandered her honor,

It was only time before she was a goner.

She was raped and left to suffer,

Fighting to prove that she was tougher.

Because of you, your loved one died,

And you called it a suicide.

I know religion is an issue we face,

But killing the wounded is a disgrace.

She let them kill her, because it was assumed,

That because of her she had this wound.

We can’t let this happen because we’re afraid,

To limit the freedom of religion crusade.

Killing is killing in anyone’s book,

So just take one long look.

Because of you, your loved one died,

And you called it a suicide.
