Just a poem that came to me for no apparent reason. Pretty gruesome. Read and review...

TRAPPED

Running, screaming out in pain

I'm dying, crying out in vain

Malevolent laughter in my ears

Shrieking, drawing out my fears

Crimson stains on my evening dress

Trapped like a pawn in a game of chess

Dancing, prancing on hot coals

In a frenzy like tiny foals

I sprint into a narrow bend

I've trapped myself in a dead end

Tears are steaming from my eyes

Trapped in a world of deadly lies

Closer, closer, surrounding me

Their eyes reflect insanity

Sick, twisted mirth echoing, loud

My mind as misty as a cloud

He'd keep me safe, that's what he said

Now he's trapped me… now I'm dead.
