"Snowfall"

Alone, a lamp sheds light,
In the silent dark of night,
As the snow falls to the ground,
In the trees not a bird,
Is to be seen or heard,
Neither is a soul around.

Each flake so unique,
Together they are complete,
Creating a blanket of cold,
As they fall into place,
Without leaving a trace,
Where they've been, never to be told,

None witness to see,
The wonder and beauty,
Of a land covered in white,
The air so clear,
To smell it brings cheer,
Joy to the soul, and delight.
