cry out....:

Under the sun
Their wails are heard over the fierce crackle -
Their source of destruction.
And life goes on.
It burns the sky,
Warring with the light of the
Uncaring sun.
And life goes on.
The endless sparkling stretch of rubies;
The fires reap their destruction across the plan,
Churning up bush and wildlife.
And life goes on.
Again the sun gazes across its domain.
While below the flames thicken, multiply,
Destroy (another town)
And life goes on.
It burns.
They scream for mercy.
And life goes on.

I know, I know, I know. Not my normal style. Well, I can explain. Clearly. It used to be in that format, but this is a school poem and screw being original. That's what the teachers say anyway.
