“We’re breaking up.” Those four words echoed through my mind as I was walk gloomily down the street to my house. And our anniversary was 50 days away too! I sighed.

I’m never gonna have a boyfriend. “Who does he think he is anyway? Breaking up a girl while I was eating,” I talked to myself. “And besides, that spaghetti dressing sure did looks nice on him.” I said, feeling a bit better.

But then I remembered the reason he broke up with me. “Carla Savannah.” I snarled. The girl wasn’t even pretty anyway, or maybe because his eyes were on her two big fun bags. Damn you for this, Cupid! I took my anger out on a dented soda can and kicked it.

It went a good distance until it hit a passing BMW and scraped the window and the hood. “…oh sugar honey ice tea.” I squeaked as I watch the car halted to a stop and a guy came out and looked around, angrily, to find the victim and his fiery pale gray eyes landed on me.

“Oh boy!” I started running but he was too fast and caught up with me. “Listen you little freeloader, look what you just did to my car! You better pay for this!” he said, grabbing my elbow and yanking it. “It wasn’t my fault,” I pleaded.

“I don’t care! You’re gonna have to pay for it.” “How much is it?” “For the repair, oh I don’t know $50. What the hell do you think it cost?!” he snapped and I cringed. “I demand you pay $3000 right now.”

Jeez. What a hothead. Quick come up with a run away plan! “Hey some kids are drawing on your car!” I pointed. He looked and I started running like a bunny. “Hey! You!” he shouted and I squeaked and ran faster.

There’s no of use of stopping her anymore, she’s already 3 blocks away. I sighed and looked at the damage at my car again. A scratch on the windows and the hood. Could this day get any worse? I noticed a small black square from the corner of my eye and I looked to see it more clearly. It was a small black wallet with the words ‘Love’ on it. I bent down to pick it up and opened it.

“Alyssa Monroe.” I read the license name. The same girl who damaged my car. Her street address was on here. Great. Time to find her.

I panted heavily as I reach safety: Home. I went in from the back since that was shorter and opened the door and leaned against it, letting out a big breath. “Bad day?” My big sister, Brenda, said from the couch. “You have no idea.”

I let my backpack slid down from the floor and started to get my keys, my phone, and my wallet out. My hand grabbed nothing. I started to pat the empty pocket. Where’s my wallet? I groaned, knowing that it slipped out when I started running. “What?” “I dropped my wallet.” “Ouch, that’s bad.”

“Yea, and guess what? Tyler broke up with me.” Brenda gasp. “No way!” I nodded. “Way.” “Are you gonna cry?” she asks, pouting. I glared at her. “Very funny. No, I am not gonna cry. God is being mean to me. I lost my boyfriend to a big orange tree girl, scratched a very expensive car, and lost my wallet.”

“Wait, you scratched a car-” “I’ll tell you later. Why not grant me a good thing? You know? A guy? No. A hot guy?” I asks loudly.

The doorbell rang and both of us looked at each other. Brenda went to answer the door and I peeked. Holy crap. It’s that guy! Okay, god, I take back my wish! Make him go away. “Alyssa, there’s someone to see you.” Brenda said. Oh and god? Smite my sister for me, will ya?
