Confessional

bless me, father, for I have sinned.

In a Symphony of Sweet Intoxication

And the Glow of Touch and Togetherness,

I was unfaithful.

My Lips Touched those of a Taken Man,

While mine looked on, Trying to forgive.

forgive, forgive me, father,

for Life lured me into the pagan trap

and worse, I Went Eagerly.

there was guilt, sacred shame,

plenty to go around, but then –

but then I sinned still further.

For then My Soul Spurned the Church

And Rejoiced in Desire’s Embrace.

I saw No Wrong in it, father.

Only Fulfillment.

Drawn by the Ease of Happiness,

I Lay between the Men I Love

And felt No Regret.

A jezebel am I, father, a magdalene

who needs the healing love of the lord

To Shackle-

lead me back to the Light.
