Rivers rage on the darkest night
Whispering stories of the age-old fight
And splashing memories onto the shore
Memories of forgotten lore
Sit down, son, let me tell you more.

Hear the rumbling thunder, see the lightening crack
Remember the day cruel men attacked
And slaughtered victims, one by one
Until their disastrous deed was done
And here they left us, beaten bruised
While to another down they cruised
To ravage and ransack and leave the people to die

We tried and we failed to put the pieces together
But the damage had been so deep
Our dead were lying in tall heaps
Blood stains splattered on the sand
And no one left to lend a hand

Her thoughtless actions sealed our fate
She sold our souls with a decree so ornate
She believed it’s horrid, deceitful lies
And set in motion our demise

She signed a contract with her blood
And back they came to our broken land
They took their chains and bound our hands
They put us on ships and sailed us away
No one will forget that tragic day
Babies pulled from mothers’ arms
Even the children were brutally harmed

This is how we came to be here today
This is why we’re stuck here, to our dismay
Your challenge, boy, will be come at a cost
And if you fail all hope is lost
It is your job to free us all
And make these demons finally fall
