I fantasize of our encounter as I lay here.
Trying to find words that will explain something never felt
Never dreamt. I can acknowledge every sight and sound,
Feel every feeling, yet I know I am missing something imperative.
I can feel the damp sea sands (coarse through my barefoot toes),
And I can taste the salty air that will course through my veins.
I can feel your hand in mine, as you lead our first dance
Upon the southern shore.
The moon beams smell delightful, the starlight sings.
My heel spins atop the loose dance floor,
And I will lose my balance.
Graceless though I am, I have never minded falling -
Not if the bottom is as soft as your love, or this sand.
The touch of your forehead will be the syringe of ecstasy;
I will be so close - I will tumble into your lips
As my uncertainties are abolished.
And you, my divine, will possess all of me.
