Prophet Going Blind

You think you have it figured out

And then you go and sell yourself

Cuz you thought you had the answers

Until the questions changed

,

So to the other side

Rebel defied

All the world turned to gray

You keep your heart cold

Cuz inside you don’t know

How emotion plays its game

.

What’s wrong with this world we live in?

Where nothing ever seems right

Why is nothing clearly written

In good old black and white

It’s so overwhelming

When there are fifty-thousand shades of gray

What’s wrong with the world we live in?

I will never find it out

No I will never figure out

.

There’s only a limited amount of time

And you’ve wasted all your shattered life

You’ve been painting your canvas with drab shapes

And disappearing lines

,

You put effort and time

In writing novels of life

But no one will read a book of lies

So you lay down to sleep

And after one dream

You wake up, a stranger redeemed

.

What’s wrong with this world we live in?

Where nothing ever seems right

Why is nothing clearly written

In good old black and white

It’s so overwhelming

When there are fifty-thousand shades of gray

What’s wrong with the world we live in?

I will never find it out

No I will never figure out

.

No longer a prophet going blind

The gold at the end of rainbow you finally find

Rearranged from a life of the same

You have finally found your place

Where the streets are carved of jewel,

Under the only right king’s rule
