Dance In The Dark

I close my eyes

To find a way out

Because no one can shine

When it’s light.

..

Did you dance in the dark?

Could you pull through when it was hard?

Can you keep strong and still be fine

When Hashem says Ester Et Panai?

..

When it’s bright

Take note

Of your surroundings

So you know

How to walk when it’s dark,

Stay on a straight path when it’s hard,

To not be distracted by the obstacles in the fog.

.

Obviously you can see when it’s light,

But when the times are rough

And you’re blinded in sight,

Turn to search the way out

Because the lights were turned off

To see if you could find your way to the door.

..

Did you dance in the dark?

Could you pull through when it was hard?

Can you keep strong and still be fine

When Hashem says Ester Et Panai?

..

In life they often dim the lights,

G-d’s hidden in the nights,

Seemingly not there because He’s not staring straight at you.

But Mordechai and Esther had the emunah to

See the invisible in the truth,

They pulled closer when He withdrew.

...

They danced in Shushan’s dark,

They sang though prophesied it would be hard,

They partied and began to write

Of Hashem saying “Hareini EtPanai.”

Let’s dance in the dark

Let’s be fine though it’s hard

Let’s keep strong and do right

Even when it seems G-d said “Ester Et Panai”
