Help Us

In the darkest webs of the dankest days,

The led laze corrupted, the conceited crawl

For shelter, from hungry hell’s afflicted blaze,

Whilst over love lays a blackened, soiled pall.

From such a shroud in the heated haze

Shrieks secrete, the sacred home appals

Sickened. Lust oozes, sweat drips, sex pays

Hell’s tongues of flame, while the watchmen drool.

Entwined bodies ruck away lived out lies,

Sinking soiled silver-lined dreams. You leave

Disgusted, but is it us you despise?

Tell us the lies you want us to believe,

That the cries are futile, hopeless, helpless.

And sound, like an unremitting, ‘help us’.
