Tripping Russian forests—
the solar system threw something at us:
an enduring eye,
a bright flash miles over the River in Russia.
Decimated matchsticks and
flattened crater fall from the sky,
pinning bets of a comet exploding:
a cosmic fragment’s hope
of finding its’ parent.
