Discordant souls

Dying day

Without a thought

Come what may

Forgetting dance

They fall down hard

Eyes on tomorrow

Feet in the yard

Planted, rooted

But never one

Lost in a daydream

They feast on the sun

Jilted, strangled

The earth does gasp

But they can't hear

In heavens grasp

Future dwindles

Past a joke

In the throes of death

We all will choke

In final moments

The sleepers will wake

Just in time

For their souls to quake

As the seasons blister

The meridian dies

The awakening scream

As they drown in the lies
