A grubby sweatshirt

My worn out shoes

Tangled hair

The calamitous blues

Peace a detriment

To fraudulent self

Dreams all cobwebbed

On the top of the shelf

Drowning in nothing

Dreaming in time

To my feet on the pavement

And my soul lost in rhyme

Headboard a tombstone

Bed is my grave

Melody cries

For a soul it can't save

When I'm gone will I know it?

When I die will I care?

Or will it be like the snowfall?

Soft, unaware
