Drama
I'm tired of the drama
Keep it on the stage
My life isn't a soap opera
For everyone to gaze- into it
And talk about it
I'm more than just a character
My life is not a play
Sad face- mask on
Everyone thinks they know
What the hell is going on
They all want to show- that they get me
That they understand me
But what they see is only
As deep as their shallow hearts
So you need to quit the lying
'Cause you know I don't believe
I can see through you, "deceiving"
But that isn't blood you bleed
On my conscious- you missed your mark
Your lies didn't make a mark
'Cause I'm more than a character
Unlike you, clarity is what I see
At this point in my life there was a lot of drama going on because of my friends. As always I get dragged into it, or it finds me, and as always my friends expect that I know everything or that I will fix it. I was becoming extremely frustrated with them and with the drama in general. For me this poem was written not only to express my frustrations, but also to vent out my anger in order to deal with the situation better and to not take out my anger on my friends (anymore than I had already).
