an exhalation of the soul.
Let out all the things
that hold me back,
that keep me from being happy.
Breathe out all the things
that make it so
I can't smile
I can't succeed
I can't change
I can't be what I want to be.
Release all that
I'm holding back
so others can be free of me
and get on living
however they need to.
I've held my breath too long
It's time to breathe
a sigh of relief.
