If I Could Find...
If I could find the words to speak
I'd lay them all down at your feet
But sometimes pain cannot find words
Instead it seethes inside and burns
Cut down to the quick, wounded deep
My eyes are sore from tears that pour
In rivulets down my cheeks and I taste
The salty bitterness that I must swallow
The feelings that run so deep inside
I run in dizzying circles to find rest
But only find more sorrow and hurt
One day I may find sweet repose
But for now that repose I do not know
