Sobering Thoughts

Oh, so how do you think?
With all you had to drink
Fire, burned, swallowed
Another bottle
Losing all control
Falling to a faceless hole
Stumble, you crumble
Eyes as glass
Intensified anger
You’re just being an ass
And for all those nights
Where you started those fights
I ask, “How can she cope,”
When you have no hope
All the scars she hides
And the days she lies
Asking for a favor
Praying for a savior
Begging for you sober
So this can be over
