Something Like a Cataclysmic Breakdown

Heaving breaths stop short of being weary

Cries in the dark – no one here to hear

Stains of tears poison the fragile fibers of face

My hands shake – what have I done wrong?

Bitter taste returns and I choke my sobs to pieces

Screaming – why can't he love me? I'd change for him!

I'd better myself past when I'm his-

But the earth wouldn't change is Mars stopped moving

Hearts wouldn't stop beating if bones kept breaking -

As mine still beats for the sight of him

I tremble and wait for morning to come.
