“Her lifeless body was tied up against the tree and the ropes cut into her skin, leaving her wrists bloody and ripped. Her alabaster complexion was revealed through the torn shirt, her chest wasn’t moving. The rage consumed me to the point of paralyzation and it wasn’t until I heard someone scream “Do something!” from behind me, that my mind cleared.

In a split second I was by her side. The few breaths she took were heavy and her eyes closed. Tearing off the ropes, she fell, lifeless into my arms, revealing the ruthless damages done to her. She was bleeding from her stomach, and as I put my hand over the wound to stop her from bleeding out, I could feel her blood pulsate against my skin.

And under the palm of my hand, I guarded her life”
