When The Honeymoon's Over
by stringless-kite
Scene One.
"She said she wanted a divorce. A divorce!" he exclaims onto his phone, pacing up and down the footpath leading to his house.
"Come on, Paul!" the person on the other line replies. "Your wife always says that. She has you on a leash whenever she whips out that threat. It's a trick."
"I don't care if it's a trick because I know it isn't. I'm outside freezing my ass off! That's what matters here, George!"
"What do you mean?"
"She actually changed the locks! She's locked me out."
George erupts into laughter. "Are you serious?"
"This isn't funny!"
"Heh. If I were Angela, I would have done it too," George says. "You deserved it."
"Aren't you meant to be on my side here?" Paul growls.
"Well, you did kiss your ex girlfriend and you did admit what had happened to your wife. It's kind of guaranteed."
Paul insists, "It's just a kiss. It doesn't mean anything."
"You tongued her. I saw it. It was the type of make-out you do when you're going to bed someone. Now that's the question! If I hadn't have interfered, would you have had sex with your ex?"
Pause.
"Unbelievable!"
(a/n) Wow. It's 5am.
This isn't going to be like any of my other stories. 'When The Honeymoon's Over' will be a bunch of mixed up drabbles that focus on a bit of everything. There won't be as much description, but will be more focused on dialogue and humour. Just a break, you know? ;) This isn't meant to be taken seriously because I am anything but married. Hope you enjoyed this brief moment!
