I Know I Won’t

My mind no longer functions properly.

I see you, and just the sight of you throws me into disarray.

I think of what we could have been, and I love you.

I think of how you mercilessly betrayed me, and I hate you.

Which do I feel more? Love or hate?

I have a pack, and yet I am a lone wolf.

You are my best friend, and yet you are my worst enemy.

How could I have trusted you so blindly

When in my heart I knew you would betray it?

Why did I willingly give you my heart

Even though I knew you would destroy it without a thought?

They say that sanity is a part of insanity.

Now I believe them.

You have driven me over the edge,

And yet I still hold on.

You are like a coin, heads and tails.

Except you never decide which side to land on.

You always hang in between,

Me and him.

The wolf and the hunter.
