Hello, all! It's me again! I'm here with the sequel of Shadows of twilight just like you've all been waiting for! Horray for free time! Well, enjoy!

Chapter 1- Part 1: The Wronged

Whiteness. Blank. Sheesh, this place is boring!

Gabriel looked around at the whiteness before sighing loudly. He glanced down at the chain holding his arms down. What do I have to do for some rest already?

“What indeed.”

Gabriel quickly looked up to see someone standing across from him, their beard covering their mouth.

The person raised a single finger and pointed it towards Gabriel. “Now that you are here where those who have sinned are judged…” The old man trailed off and Gabriel readied himself for what came next.

“Would you like some candy?” The old man asked and Gabriel would have tried to kick him if he could feel his legs.

“You’re quite right. Candy isn’t good at this time. Maybe later.” He added and Gabriel grimaced before the old man continued. “Now then, onto business.” He said before sitting down on something Gabriel couldn’t see due to the whiteness.

“You’ve died. That much is certain. However, the demon that was inside has been removed because of that. Now normally, your soul would be sent to its next body…” Gabriel perked up and the old man stopped before chuckling.

“Of course I said normally. This time will be different, and with a price.” The old man stood back up and slowly made his way towards Gabriel.

He raised his hand again and poked Gabriel in the forehead. “You can’t make any more mistakes. Next time you die, that’s it.” He said and Gabriel felt a shiver run down his spine.

“You can’t refuse this time, child.” The old man added and Gabriel grimaced slightly before the old man chuckled again.

“Raiden.” He muttered and Gabriel froze up as a large golden bird suddenly landed behind the old man.

The old man smiled behind his beard and then turned to Raiden. “This is Raiden. He will assist you in your job.” The old man stated and Gabriel looked over at the bird before sighing again.

“Yes, I’m giving you a job to do. However… some minor details have changed…” Gabriel glanced back at the old man who was chuckling quietly.

“Your old body is unusable right now, but if you complete this job, you may have it back when it’s restored. Other than that, you’re going to have to inhabit your Vessal.” The old man said and Gabriel raised an eyebrow.

“Oh, sorry. I didn’t explain, did I? Right now all you have is your soul. So for you to do your job, I need to put you into your Vessal. A Vessal is sort of like a person who is the same as you, but you can never meet them otherwise unless I will it. So until your job is done, meet your new roommate or sorts.” The old man said before laughing heartily as Gabriel felt a sinking feeling.

“A what?” Xeno asked as he and Chris stood in the large room where Io and Luna were sitting in front of them.

“We received a messenger from the port off of Hokkaido that a strange group had begun to take over surrounding villages. In order to restore any peace we have up here, we need to stop whoever this is and see if there is any connection to the East with this.” Io stated as Luna was staring at the floor silently.

Xeno rubbed the back of his neck before sighing. “Anything else?” He asked and Io nodded before being handed a piece of paper by Roy.

“Apparently, the name of the leader of this group is Zeke. Otherwise known as Demon Hunter Zeke.” Io said with a small smile, and Chris grimaced sadly.

“We’re hunting an Occult now?” He asked after the two left the room.

“Guess so. Oh well. Let’s go ask to see if anyone else wants to come along.” Xeno said before making his way to the rooms were everyone resided.

Xeno grinned widely outside in the snow as Chris, Wednesday, and Karina stood with him.

“Okay, you all! Let’s go kick some freaks!” He said before pumping his fist into the air, and the three sighed sadly.

‘Please say he’s going to stop doing that…’ The three thought in unison as they reached the port through the short cut. “So, this Zeke guy is…?” Wednesday asked and Chris looked over at her.

“Demon Hunter Zeke is an Occultist who claims to be able to see demons. Though he’s probably just some nutcase, he does have a wide range of weapons that seem to do what he says they do.” Chris stated and Karina’s ear twitched.

“What are these weapons said to do, nya?” She asked and Chris glanced over to see Xeno trying to find a boat.

“Zeke’s 13 weapons are said to be able to slash not only the body but the mind as well.” He said while pointing to his head and Karina backed away slightly.

“That’s creepy, nya!” She before Xeno shouted over to them. “Found one!”

“Row like you means it!”

“I am, Xeno-sempai!”

Karina and Wednesday sat back and watched the two guys row them across the strip of water.

“This is nice, I guess.” Wednesday whispered as she watched the water rush by as the boat was pushed forward even faster.

“I think I’m going to be seasick, nya…” Karina muttered while she hung over the side of the small boat.

Xeno grinned as he pushed the boat into the port while Karina quickly scampered off onto dry land.

Wednesday went to help Karina as Chris tied the boat up tiredly. Xeno looked around the town before pulling out a map from the bag on his belt.

“So we’re here… and the closest village is not that far from here…” He said and Chris looked over to see where Xeno was pointing to on the map.

“How long do you think it would take, Xeno-sempai?” He asked and Xeno shrugged as he rolled the map back up and stuffed it into the bag. “An hour?”

Five hours later, the four finally made it to the top of a hill before resting.

“You liar… nya…” Karina muttered dryly to Xeno as she rested her hands on her knees.

Xeno panted before frowning to Karina. “How was I supposed to know about the hills here?” He shot back and the two started glaring at each while Chris and Wednesday look up ahead.

“Xeno-kun! Is that it?” Wednesday asked and Xeno looked over and nodded when he saw the village a ways away.

“So I wasn’t completely off.”

“Yeah, just four hours off, nya.” Karina said under her breath, but Wednesday heard it and giggled lightly.

Xeno glared back at Karina when he heard Wednesday giggle, and he then turned back and started walking again towards the village.

A little while later, they reached it, and three of them sighed loudly in relief while Xeno glared at them all.

“Come on. Let’s find this Zeke guy already.” He said before stepping down the street with the other three people right behind him.

“Kinda quiet, huh?” Chris asked quietly and Wednesday nodded slowly. Karina perked her ears up, and stopped walking; causing the other three to look back at her.

“What’s up?” Xeno asked and Karina clenched her fist slowly. “I hear steel.” She said and as if on cue, several people appeared around them while holding various weapons.

Chris eyed the group surrounding them and he narrowed his eyes at the red cloaks they were all wearing that had a large black cross on the chest.

“These are Zeke’s followers, huh?” Wednesday asked as she gripped her umbrella while Xeno reached behind him for the large blue-tinted sword on his back.

“Heh, good time to try out the weapon I built with those Ame Stones, huh? Start the count, Chris!”

Karina smiled happily as she swerved past one of the occultists and punched one in the face while laughing cheerfully.

Wednesday was batting them away with her umbrella while Chris covered her.

Xeno was busy wildly swinging around without caring if he hit a building or not. He grinned before gripping his new sword and slashing one occultist in half.

“Haha! That’s three!” He shouted until he looked back at the one he had slashed in half to see the person being put back together. “What the hell?!” He shouted before blocking a weapon with his sword and jumping back to where the other three were standing.

“What… What is up with these guys? They don’t stay down… or apart!” Chris said and Xeno gritted his teeth towards the masked occultists.

“What in the world are these guys?” He muttered until a slight breeze blew by, and the four froze up as someone had suddenly appeared in front of them.

Xeno’s eyes widened as he stared at the black and gold-cloaked person that stood in front of them.

The occultists all seemed to freeze up as some stepped backwards.

“Medusa-sama.” Echoed quietly through the occultists and Wednesday perked up as the person raised their hands, each one having three bracelets dangling on the wrists, then sliding the cloak off their head and letting it fall to her neck.

The girl’s black hair flittering slightly in the wind as the occultists all stepped back in unison.

Xeno, Chris, Wednesday, and Karina flinched when the girl suddenly appeared amidst the crowd of occultists while facing the four.

Xeno noticed the girl had her eyes closed as she raised her arms to her chest so her hands were pointing in the opposite directions.

“Medusa-sama?” Some occultists wondered before the girl opened her eyes with a soft smile that made her golden eyes gleam dangerously.

“Repulsion.” She said with a clear edge in her voice.

The next moment, a black rune appeared beneath her and the occultists all froze up before a large pure white orb crackling with lightning surrounded the girl and expanded until it engulfed every occultist.

Xeno and the others took several large steps back to avoid the large crackling orb.

After a few seconds, the orb slowly shrunk and the four froze up as nothing remained but a large crater.

The girl gracefully landed across from them with her smile still on her face as she calmly put her hood back over her head.

Xeno braced himself as he held his new sword towards the girl. “Who the hell is the chick?” He asked and Chris shook his head before gripping his katana.

“Hello, all.” She said suddenly, and the four froze up as she suddenly appeared in front of them while leaning her head towards Wednesday.

“You look sad. Did something happen?” The girl asked and Wednesday quickly bolted away while Xeno and Chris went between the two.

The girl smiled softly to the two boys before sighing quietly. “You four were in real trouble, huh? Good thing I came along.” She said and Xeno raised an eyebrow while grinning.

“Who are you, girl?” He asked and the corner of the girl’s mouth twitched before she giggled. “My name’s Medusa Kasekika. Except right now, Me-chan is sleeping, so you could call me…” Medusa trailed off as she leaned backwards to avoid Xeno’s large blue-tinted sword.

Medusa’s smile widened as she flipped backwards to dodge Chris’s katana that impaled where her feet were.

Medusa landed gracefully and smiled back over at the four. “You sure are rude, aren’t you? You ask me to introduce myself, and I do. Then you attack me before I finished? That’s plain rude, Xeno.” Medusa said playfully and Xeno froze up as his eyes widened in surprise.

“How do you know my name?” He asked and Medusa giggled softly. “Xeno, Chris, Karina, and Wednesday. I know everything about you four.” She stated playfully with a finger to her lips as her hood had fallen off her head from dodging the two’s attacks.

“Oh really? That just makes you more suspicious than ever.” Xeno said as he pointed his sword towards Medusa. Medusa giggled again happily before looking at Xeno with her golden eyes. “You wanna play?”

The ground split as Xeno pulled his sword out of the ground before swinging it at Medusa who fluidly dodged Xeno’s parry before flipping backwards and swerved to the side to avoid the follow up from Xeno.

“This is fun, big boy! Try harder though. I’m barely moving.” She said before dodging Xeno’s sword some more while the other three watched.

“She sure is good at dodging.” Wednesday muttered and Chris nodded slowly. ‘Not just that, but her movements are flowing unlike Xeno’s choppy ones. She’s also dodging the blade by using the force from it. She’s an expert at fighting, that’s for sure.’ Chris thought as he watched Xeno miss Medusa again.

“I wonder why she’s not attacking back, nya. That big thing she did to make that crater, nya. What was that, nya?” Karina asked and Chris shrugged until Medusa giggled playfully again.

“Oh, that? That was just a simple thing.” She said from behind Karina, and the three quickly twirled around to face her.

“I simply created a space devoid of air. Then, by using the outside wind, I created an orb-like vacuum that would act just like a black hole.” She stated happily before leaning backwards and dodging Xeno’s sword again before flipping onto a roof.

“Stop dodging and fight back!” Xeno snapped up at her, and she tilted her head to the side coyly. “But… I might wear myself out…” She whispered until Xeno reached behind him and removed the large axe from his back.

“Tough luck!” He shouted before smashing the building with the two large weapons.

Xeno gritted his teeth as he watched Medusa elegantly land on the ground before looking towards him.

“If I must, I must. But let me make one thing clear. No tiring out my body.” She said and Xeno raised an eyebrow until Medusa opened her eyes for them to gleam silver.

“Her eye color… changed?” Chris muttered as Xeno readied himself.

“Come on, chick! Don’t break a nail while you’re at it.” He said and Medusa smiled softly.

“Me-chan would kill me if I did.” She said before removing her cloak and revealing her black clothes underneath.

“Good thing Me-chan likes loose clothing too.” Medusa added before disappearing from sight.

Xeno froze up as Medusa suddenly appeared in front of him with a smile. Xeno was then kicked in the chin by Medusa’s foot, making him flinched in surprise.

“Grit your teeth.” Medusa said happily before slamming her palm into Xeno’s chest.

Xeno coughed up blood before his eyes widened. Medusa’s lips twitched into a smile.

“Peace Rejection.”

Chris, Karina, and Wednesday all froze in shock as Xeno went flying through several buildings due to a blast of thunder and wind from Medusa's palm.

Medusa giggled as she lowered her hands to the side, and walked back to where she had dropped her cloak.

“That’s 2097 wins for me, Xeno.” She said happily, but before she could reach her cloak, Chris swung his katana towards her. Medusa leaned to the side and dodged Chris completely while smiling darkly.

“You wanna play too? I guess I could use some exercise as long as Me-chan doesn’t get tired out.” Medusa said before swiftly sending her foot into Chris’s head and making him fly back to where the two girls were standing.

Chapter 1- Part 2: The Judged

Xeno gripped his head in pain as he stood up slowly.

“What is that girl? She seems so frail, but she sure can deal some pain.” He muttered to himself while staggering through the wrecked buildings.

“Damn it… Why does this remind of something?”

Chris gritted his teeth as Medusa dodged his strikes effortlessly. Medusa then stood on her toes and swiftly kicked Chris with one foot after another as she flipped backwards with a smile.

“Come on! You guys are boring! How about having the girls take a chance?” She asked and Chris gritted his teeth as he used the back of his hand to wipe some blood off his upper lip.

“How can you move like that?” He asked under his breath until he flinched when Medusa’s foot slammed into his chest, sending him to the ground.

“Sorry about that. You were just wide open then.” She said with a giggle as Chris gritted his teeth in pain.

“Nya! You must work for Zeke, nya!” Karina called over from where she stood, and Medusa sighed quietly.

“Yep, she’s still talking like that…” She muttered under her breath with a sigh.

“Zeke?” Medusa asked and after a few seconds she smiled softly.

“Me-chan’s heard of him, but not me. Sorry.” Medusa said and Chris raised an eyebrow from where he had gotten up to a sitting position.

“Who’s Me-chan?” He asked and Medusa looked at him blankly with her now golden eyes.

“Me-chan is right here.” She said while pointing to herself. The three were silent as they stared at Medusa.

“Okay, so the chick is mental.” Xeno said and they all looked over at where he came staggering out of the wreckage.

“That was fast, Xeno.” Wednesday said with a smile and he shot a glare at her while holding his hand to his ribs.

Medusa put a finger to her lips before smiling again. “I guess Me-chan’s sleeping again. I shouldn’t wake her, huh.” Medusa said before picking up her cloak and putting it on.

Medusa looked over at the four before giggling for no good reason. “Wow, you four really have grown! It’s only been a week too!” She said and the four went silent in confusion until they jolted when Medusa appeared in front of Wednesday.

“You’ve grown taller, shrimp.” She said and Wednesday bolted away from her again.

“What in the world are you talking about?!” Wednesday asked while jabbing her finger at Medusa.

Medusa sighed sadly before running a hand through her black hair.

“Of course, this is a different body after all… But why’d it have to be female?” Medusa muttered and Wednesday perked up as Medusa’s eyes flickered from gold to silver and back again.

“Who exactly are you?” Wednesday asked slowly, and Medusa smiled softly as she looked back at Wednesday.

“This is Medusa, or Me-chan as I like to call her. She’s my Vessal.” Medusa stated and the four went silent as Medusa continued.

“But you all know me as well. I’m Gabriel.” Medusa said with a happy smile while the four froze up in utter shock.

“WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!”
