It’s times like these, times of fragile emotional beauty,

that shape our lives and make us who we are–

times like these that make this one want to cry.

Tears of joy, tears of pain– it all comes out.

Love is a beautiful emotion, maybe the most beautiful, but for this one, it is a sad beauty.

Something for others, and not for the self.

What do you think of when you see the setting sun?

Do you see the shadow, the darkness that you know will come unfailingly with its absence, or do you see the light, the hope and security in the knowledge that, although the night is darkest before the dawn, the sun will rise again and permeate that darkness, like a long-lost friend come to herald in the new day?

It is said that, although you may be one person to the world, you may also be the world to one person.

Can this be true?

This one hopes it’s so.

He hopes to God it’s so.
