The ground is heart-lurchingly far below

my firmly-planted feet and shaking legs.

I try to calculate distance

but the numbers will not come.

Terminal velocity is the square root

of twice the mass times acceleration

divided by the density times the projected area

multiplied by the drag coefficient.

I take a deep breath and step forward.
