Summer Fun

-

Well we had our fun

It was just a fling

Under the summer sun

It didn't mean a thing

And even if it did

You and me we're just kids

In grown up bodies

-

You really pushed out the boat

I almost felt like a girl again

I forgot who and where I was

You're not like all the other men

And I wouldn't have it any other way

And even through I said it was just a holiday romance

I felt something stir up inside

-

Well we had our fun

It was just a fling – or so I said

And now it is gone

So this is a song, of love, loss and pain

But I wouldn't change – a thing

For we always want – what we can't have

And for that I am glad

-

And we will always have these photographs and memories

Untarnished by the winds of change and time...
