sunshine, don’t shine so bright.
it’s so nice and warm for now
and i can feel you rays all over
but i worry that someday
i may miss the snow

sunshine, don’t shine so bright.
everything is green and gorgeous
and the flowers are in full bloom
but i worry that someday
i may ask for poinsettias.

sunshine, don’t shine so bright.
we are golden brown and beautiful
and summer is such a radiant blur
but i worry that someday
i may crave the winter.

so sunshine, don’t shine so bright.
i have lost my sunglasses in the midst of my smiles,
and i am afraid that you are all i can see anymore.
