we told three-quarter truths
under orion's careful watch-
for my part, i thought i was being
truthful.
you never possessed my heart,
for that was already someone else's;
but you managed to write your name
on the moon (and you wanted a star
for your birthday).
for a fleeting moment,
when i see the bright white moon against
the light blue sky [the season has changed,
now, almost-darling], i wonder what it
would feel like to be in your arms
instead of his.
(but i'm only wondering-
not wanting.)
AN: i'm sorry mo. i didn't mean to lead you on.
but can you be content with the moon&stars instead of my beat-up heart?
