Father give me the eyes

To see the tear stained faces.

Give me the ears

To hear their silent cries.

Give me a tongue, Father

To speak softly.

Give me hands

To reach out and hold the broken.

Give me the feet

To walk beside them.

And Father, give me a heart

To understand their pain.
