KID TO COACH

I know someday soon

It’ll all be worth it

And someday I’ll look back on these times

As fond memories

But the practices are so long

And the days are so hot

I’m sunburned and thirsty,

And tired and hungry

My bach aches, my feet hurt

And some of us are starting to black out!

I have great respect for you,

And I know it’ll all pay off later

But “one more time” always means “100 more”

And my face hurts from faking

That smile

COACH TO KID

You guys are awesome,

You guys are my amazing team,

But why won’t you listen to me?

You talk when I’m talking,

You don’t listen to directions

I say “start on count five”

But you still go on count two

You have no energy

And your performance is pathetic

I say “one more time”

But you don’t even try

Why do I have to yell?

Treat every practice like it’s your

Tournament

Or else how will you know what to do

During a tournament?!
