This starts with a boy

He was gay

But that's not all

I've got to say

Lawrence King

Was his name

He was proud

He had no shame

Of who he was

Or whom he loved

From his hand

Removed the glove

He was not hiding

Anymore

Out he came

And bullets poor

Shine the light

Form God above

But not on him

Because of whom he loved

All he asked

Was a valentine

So why, I ask

Did he die?

What is wrong?

With boys loving boys

Love should be something

Everyone enjoys

All this hate

Destroys the earth

Be it boys loving boys

Or girls loving girls

So stop it please

So stop the hate

So for Lawrence

God might open the gate

And he won't fear

The fires of hell

I didn't know him

But I know right well

That he should not fear

The fires of hell.
