I dream of dragons in the palm of my hand,
collapsing dams, and skirting difference,
tongue in cheek: making it, risking it
pulled back costing everything,
and waking giddy, tears on cheek,
wanting broken fingers, shackled feet;
wanting mattering: a distant thing
a mythic wolf among counted sheep
