This is a tribute to the Incas, my ancestors. This is how I felt whenever I went to Machu Pichu or any other scared place my ancestors were. Even though I don't know much about them personally, I still miss them. Damn you San Fransico Pizzaro!(Don't care if I spelled his name wrong! Ha!) When I meet you in the after life...! *Sighs* I swear, If the spanish hadn't come and stole all my ancestors gold, Peru would've been the most richest country in all the world! Instead, we're as poor as a mouse...even more than that! It's a good thin about half of those ships carrying the gold sunk to the bottom of the sea while traveling to Spain (Hehehe! serves them right! Greedy bastards...!)

Listen To The Voices Of The Incas

I feel the soft ground

Tremble under my feet

As I climb up the mountain rage

Of Machu Pichu

I can feel the sun bask its warmth

Upon my frame

As my eyes cast down

The sight before me

I stare down

At the lands my ancestors once roamed

Now empty of life

Only the vast memory of them

Once being here

I felt like I have entered a place most sacred

I dare not speak

In fear of disgracing this place

With my voice not worthy enough

To speak my ancestors language

The sun disappears

The cold comes as I

Stand there, still, and quiet

I feel an ongoing

Feeling of flying

Up to the heavens

As the many voices of my ancestors

Whisper softly into my ears

They fill my head

Their language unknown to me

As I stay where I am

Listening to the many voices

Of my ancestors,

The Incas

Their very words seeming to make my heart beat

More rapidly

Then before

Oh, the voices of my ancestors stop

And I open my eyes,

Longing for their presence again

Only to find silence

How long I have stayed

I do not know

All I know is that

I have heard them

My ancestors

And it lifted my heart more than anything

To just stop and listen

Anyone who shall go to Machu Pichu

One of the sacred lands

Of the Incas

Should stop and listen

To the many voices of the Incas

My ancestors…

My people.
